I'm all for passionate fandom, but sometimes people go a little too far in their grand gestures of celebrity-directed love. What follows are some of the strangest items celebs have ever received from their fans. They are disturbing relics of near-maniacal obsessions that veered just a smidgen over the line of sanity.
How would you react if someone sent you one of these?
1. Jared Leto - A Severed Ear
Yes, a real human ear freshly removed from its former owner. What's weirder is that it was accompanied by a note that read “Are you listening?” What's even weirder than THAT is the fact that Jared Leto poked some thread through it and wore it as a necklace. Perhaps he and his secret admirer belong with each other.
2. Daniel Radcliffe - A Creepy Stalkerish Photo
I can't even begin to imagine how many truck loads of fan mail have been sent to the Harry Potter star over the years, but it surely equates to a rainforest-felling quantity of paper. However, one unsettling delivery stood out from all the rest:
“I also got sent a photograph of a milk bottle and a door of a house. It was my house! There were two people standing in front of it, who took a photo of themselves and sent it to my house. There was only a door between us. That was very strange.”
Lock the doors, Harry!
3. Norman Reedus - A Breast Implant
A mystery fan out there sent The Walking Dead's Daryl a real breast implant to try and cheer the depressed actor up.
"She said she read an interview and I sounded depressed — which I didn't. I wasn't. I think I just came off that way."
Check out the interview below:
Everyone needs a bosom for a pillow.
4. Emma Watson - A Barrage of Bibles
Watson has said she's received over 20 copies of the Holy Bible during her career, presumably sent as educational aides from disgruntled Christians:
"Finding our 'Harry Potter' films un-Christian, people think I need to be guided and send me The Bible. I now have a collection of 20."
Because Emma definitely wrote Harry Potter.
5. Taylor Swift - A Turtle Shell Portrait
Many fans feel like they know Swift intimately through her songs, so it seems completely logical for someone to send her a turtle shell with her face painted on it. Totally normal.
6. Alice Cooper - A Cat's Heart
Cooper revealed to Reddit that the strangest thing he ever received was a tiny homemade coffin with a cat's heart lurking inside:
“I immediately literally called the police, because I didn’t know if it was a gift, a warning or a threat, and I didn’t quite know how to take it. I gave the box to the police and said, 'I don’t know where they got this, but it can’t be good.'"
Let's hope no felines were harmed in the process.
7. Zac Efron - A Piece of Human Skin
We all know how passionate Efron's fans are, but this takes dedication to another level! The High School Musical heartthrob said he, quite naturally, didn't know what to do with the piece of flesh:
"It's hilarious because you don't know how to handle it. You'll never get around it. I love all my fans."

8. Dolly Parton - An Actual Baby
Parton's song Jolene was so influential, it even inspired human sacrifice. As Dolly tells it:
"We came home one day and there was a baby in a box at our gate with a note in it. The note said, 'My name is Jolene, my momma has left me here, and she wants you to have me.' Of course, we all freaked out!”
Of course, Parton couldn't keep the poor child and had to call Human Services to come and collect the baby.
“There are some loony people in the world!”
9. Ke$ha - Teeth
After a fan sent a tooth to singer Ke$ha in 2011, she decided she wanted more where that came from, taking to Twitter to ask for as many molars as possible. Unsurprisingly, the teeth were delivered in their thousands, allowing for Ke$ha to make a dashing gnasher necklace.
10. Taecyeon - Menstruation Blood
K-Pop star Taecyeon has the honor of receiving the grossest item on this list: a love letter written in a fan's menstruation blood, which you can see below. There are no full-stops, though plenty of period.
11. Avril Lavigne - A Dead Rabbit
The skater girl sensation received her own fluffy corpse in the mail. Whether or not it was intended as a gift or an insult is still unclear.
