2016 is certainly the year of the superhero movie. With seven titles to be released over the next year, it's no doubt fans will be queuing up in the theaters!

From titles like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice to X-Men: Apocalypse, you might have forgotten that these other titles are also being released. Check them out below:

1. Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass

I had no clue that there was going to be a second movie to continue Alice in Wonderland. While Alice in Wonderland isn't loved by critics or fans, we can agree that Tim's strongest card isn't storytelling or plot. But it is a visual treat, just watching how magical it looks and the special effects and whatever was used to create the scene. Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass is set to be released on May 27, 2016.

2. The BFG

As a child, Roald Dahl was one of my favorite authors and The BFG was one of my favorite children's books. Now for those who don't know what BFG stands for, it stands for Big Friendly Giant. This is set to be a live action movie. This film tells the tale of a young girl, the Queen of England, and a benevolent giant known as the BFG, who set out on an adventure to capture the evil, man-eating giants who have been invading the human world. The BFG is set to be released on July 1, 2016.

3. The Jungle Book

Speaking of live action films, The Jungle Book will also become a live action film. The Jungle Book was a really fun animation. It's known to be a classic, so making a live action movie sounds great. I mean, just imagine the black panther, the wolves, and of course the bear coming to life on-screen. When I say coming to life, I mean more that they talk. The Jungle Book is set to be released on April 15, 2016.

4. Now You See Me 2

Now You See Me was a really enjoyable movie, but it was a movie not loved by critics, and it had mixed reviews from viewers. I found it to be a fun movie and the cast was great. Now You See Me: The Second Act will be adding the talented Daniel Radcliffe to the mix! Now You See Me: The Second Act is set to be released on June 10, 2016.

5. The Huntsman

The Huntsman is a prequel/spin-off to the 2012 film Snow White and the Huntsman. The Huntsman is going to be a stand-alone movie so, yes, that does mean Kristen Stewart will not be starring in it. The Huntsman is going to be a dark fantasy, action-adventure film and if that doesn't have you convinced, have you seen the cast? Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Emily Blunt, Sam Claflin and some other great actors who will top the list! The Huntsman is set to be released on April 22, 2016.

6. Tarzan

Tarzan was an original Disney movie that was loved by many. It was about a man raised by gorillas who must decide where he really belongs when he discovers he is a human. Tarzan will be a live action film and this is the official synopsis:

It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (Alexander Skarsgård) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life in London as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane Porter (Margot Robbie) at his side. Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian Captain Rom (Christoph Waltz). Tarzan is set to be released on July 1, 2016.
