Nickelodeon has ordered a 10th season of the charming, Emmy award-winning TV show Fairly OddParents, which returns to screens with a difference, adding a brand new, never before seen character who will make her debut in the upcoming 13-episode series.
The endearingly eccentric show centers around Timmy Turner, a young boy whose every outlandish wish is granted by his two fairy godparents, Cosmo and Wanda. Other than being hilarious, the show is notable for having one of the best cartoon intros of all time. Seriously, you'll be humming the theme tune all day:
Butch Hartman, the show's inspired creator - who also voices Dr. Rip Studwell - broke the good news over on Twitter:
Nickelodeon’s President of Content Development, Russell Hicks, said:
“As one of Nickelodeon’s most successful and longstanding series, this renewal of The Fairly OddParents is a promise to our loyal and ever-growing fans that we will continue the adventures, magic and fun."
But don't expect it to follow the same old formula. The 10th season will introduce a brand new character named Chloe Carmichael, who's pictured below:
But what to expect from this new kid on the block? Well, Chloe has been described as an:
"Enthusiastic, funny and over-achieving little girl who Timmy will have to share his fairies with. Well-intentioned, she wants to make the world a better place, but comically goes too far sometimes.”
"Our fans are a huge part of the show’s enduring success, so it’s an honor to bring them another milestone season of The Fairly OddParents. With the introduction of Chloe, the magic, laughter and classic stories will be amped to the max!”
