Recently I posted a fan casting for the new Mortal Kombat movie that is being developed, which you can read here. I thought I would go ahead and fill out some more of the characters:

Reptile - Ray Park

Ray is most notable for playing Darth Maul in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace and also Toad in X-Men. His martial arts expertise and ability to work under heavy make-up makes him a great fit for a character like Reptile.

Smoke - Tiger Hu Chen

Chen has appeared in The Matrix Reloaded and Man of Tai Chi. He has the fighting and film experience to work in this role.

Ermac - Will Yun Lee

With roles in Hawaii Five-0, The Wolverine, and Elektra, Lee has a nice Hollywood resume. I think a role in the new Mortal Kombat would be a well deserved spot for him to step into.

Quan Chi - Derek Mears

Now this might seem like an odd choice, and it is, but Mears could pull it off. Aside from having the look for the character, Mears' work in films like Friday the 13th and The Hills Have Eyes prove he can handle the physicality of the role. He is also an underrated actor and has fighting experience, having trained with Randy Couture.

Shinnok - Liam Neeson

Hands down, in my opinion, a great choice for the Elder God villain of the whole series. Neeson has the experience, the chops, and would totally own the role.

Shao Kahn -Dave Bautista

The wrestler-turned-actor has definitely proven he can handle the change. He gets better with each role he takes on, and I believe he would do justice to the would-be conqueror of Earthrealm.

Jax(son) Briggs - Mekhi Phifer

It would not take much for Mekhi to bulk back up muscle-wise, and I think he looks just like Jax.

Kurtis Stryker - Randy Couture

Couture has proved himself with his role in The Expendables franchise. I believe a role like Stryker was tailor-made for him.

Kung Lao - Mark Dacascos

I did my best not to use any of the MK: Legacy casting, but this is one that I just truly love. Kung Lao has always been a favorite character of mine, and I believe that Dacascos brings him to life perfectly.

Kabal - Scott Adkins

I really like Scott Adkins and think he is highly underrated. There are several roles I think he could play in a Mortal Kombat film, but this is the one I like him for.

Kenshi - Collin Chou

Known for roles in The Matrix Trilogy and The Forbidden Kingdom, I believe Chou would be a nice fit for this role. He has plenty of training and I think Mortal Kombat would really be a great addition to his resume.

Cyrax - Lateef Crowder

Yes, he played Baraka in one of the MK webseries, and was also in the Tekken film. Crowder is a fan-cast favorite for a role in the new film, and I like him for this role.

Sindel - Kelly Hu

Her role as China White on Arrow almost seemed like a nice audition looks-wise for the role of Sindel. That white hair looks perfect on her and I could easily see her owning this role.

Mileena - Rila Fukushima

Beautiful and deadly, both words that describe Mileena and Rila Fukushima. With her experience in The Wolverine and Arrow, Fukushima would definitely be a great fit for this role.

Jade - Rinko Kikuchi

She's beautiful, a fierce fighter, and I think this role is suited for her quite nicely. Her role in Pacific Rim proves she can handle a bo staff pretty well already. I would love to see her here.
