I write about everything movies, from release dates to reviews.

After Terminator Genisys flopped domestically, the question raised whether both the sequels would still be made. Genisys 2 is expected May 19th, 2017 and Genisys 3 on June 29th, 2018. The film did well overseas, but will that be enough to save the franchise?

Terminator Genisys 2 opens the weekend before Star Wars 8 opens, so it is almost bound for another flop. If they can find another release date with no other major movies releasing around it, they may have a shot to revive their franchise.

Genisys 3 is opening the weekend after Jurassic World 2 (which Jurassic World set the record of a $208.8 million dollar opening) and opens the weekend before Captain Marvel. Obviously Paramount is setting both of the Terminator sequels for failure, even after they are trying to save the franchise.

To be fair, all of these release dates may change, since 2018 is very far away. But still, why take the chance of opening so close to huge hits like Jurassic World 2 or Star Wars VIII?

What do you think? Should both the Terminator: Genisys sequels be made? Or should Paramount just let them go and do something else?
