A few months ago, we got rumors that ABC was busy developing a series that would be a spinoff of [Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.](tag:722469), and it would involve the adventures of Bobbi Morse/Mockingbird (Adrianne Palicki) and her on-again, off-again love interest, Lance Hunter (Nick Blood).

Just as quickly, the news came that the series was dead in the water with no real forward momentum. But it was okay, because around that time, [Marvel's Agent Carter](tag:1119765) got renewed for a second season.

But Variety is reporting it's game on again, and ABC is close to closing a deal for a pilot order for the Mockingbird-led series. Sources close to the project, which is being titled Marvel's Most Wanted, say it's not actually going to be a direct spinoff, per se, but an entirely new series that follows them as they continue their adventures together.

All of which leads me to wonder if Bobbi and Lance will be casualties in the fallout of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s own Civil War for this upcoming season.

The series was co-created and pilot co-written by Jeff Bell and Paul Zbyszewski, producers on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. They'll serve as showrunners and executive producers and Jeph Loeb, Marvel's head of TV programming, will also serve as exec producer.

With S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter, this new series, and the as-yet unrevealed secret Marvel project in development from American Crime creator John Ridley, along with Marvel's Netflix slate, it appears that they're really working to give DC television a run for its money this season.
