Drew Struzan is one of the most respected poster painters in the world. More than that, he has made the posters for every single Star Wars film to hit theatres, both original trilogy and prequels. So when he speaks about the Star Wars franchise, we listen, because he's been there form the beginning.

Recently in an interview with Movie Weekly he was asked al kinds of questions, but one of his statements really stood out:

"I got to read the script and subsequently I’ve seen half of it (THE FORCE AWAKENS) and I can tell you and the fans this, honest to god, it is far and away probably going to be THE BEST Star Wars you’ve ever seen,”

That's a bold statement about the upcoming seventh entry into the Star Wars series, but you know what? This guys has seen half of the film and read the whole script, meaning that he knows what the deal is with this film, and even though he isn't exactly a film critic, when it comes to Star Wars, I'd say he has a fair grasp of what makes the films so iconic. And another quote from the interview backs up that hunch:
Even better than this?
Even better than this?
It was so touching to the whole world. About adventure, growing up, learning and sharing with friends. It was in the movie and it did that for society and I wish there were more things in the world that brought us together in peace, harmony and friendship.

Just reading that, you know that the guy understands why we loved (and still love) Star Wars. So when he tells me that Episode VII will be the best one yet? I'm inclined to think he's onto something. Then there's what we get when we cross-reference his statement with the two trailers we've seen and the comic-con behind the scenes peek we got: a whole lot of awesomeness headed our way come December 18th.

And just for good measure, here is said trailer again:

Wrapping Up...
