The first two installments of the DC Extended Universe franchise are on the horizon, but as of yet, many roles are still unknown. Such is the case with actor Ike Barinholtz, who has remained fairly mum for most of the production process. Speaking with Zap2It, the actor hinted at the major departure from comedy that he'll be taking with his character.
I can tell you my character in that movie is someone you would not want at your house for dinner. He’s a very troubled human being.
But unfortunately, that isn't a very specific character description when it comes to the wild personalities and deranged villains of the DC Universe -- he could be anyone, really. Still, Barinholtz says that we won't have to wait much longer to find out who he's playing. According to Zap2It:
Though the character Barinholtz is playing is still a mystery, he expects that news will be revealed “by the time the next trailer comes out.”
There isn't much indication on when we'll see that trailer, of course, but it shouldn't be very long before we do.
Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 5, 2016.
