I am a huge fan of the series, as you can probably tell because I rated it 9.9 out of 10. Don't judge me, but I have not seen any of the old series, and I honestly don't want to. The modern part definitely helps, and that's what appealed to me right away. We should start with the 9th Doctor, played by Christopher Eccleston. I loved him, but he was not my favorite, and I can tell you why. In too many of the episodes, such as Dalek, his anger issues flared up.
The 10th Doctor, played by David Tenant. He is my favorite, and will forever be. He was one of the funniest, but the only one when he got serious he didn't get scary.
The only part when I was genuinely afraid of him was in the Parting of the Ways, when Rose refused to leave and help him. However, it backfired when her father from the other dimension saved her just before she got sucked in to the void. Go Dad!
The eleventh doctor, he was amazing and so funny. He could get angry, and when he got angry, he was scary. But he was scary in a way that made you want to listen.
I think he was one of the most popular doctors, mostly because when he was on the show, more and more people were starting to watch it on TV.
The twelfth doctor was (and is) my least favorite doctor. Now, I know, people are always like, "He's the best" But I think he was too serious. Always asking questions like, "Now, tell me, am I a good man?" Sure, he could be funny at some times. But, in all honesty, and some people are going to hate me for saying this, he's just too old.
And he was in The Fires of Pompeii? You can't make a guest star a doctor!
I am going to attempt to say all of the companions in order, if I get any wrong, comment and tell me
1 Rose Tyler. Rose stayed with the doctor after he regenerated for the first time in the new series, and helped him adjust. Naturally, Rose was my favorite companion. 2: Donna Noble. Now, I'm not sure if this counts, but right after being separated from Rose in Parting of the ways, she appeared in his TARDIS, dressed up in a wedding gown. She was there for one episode. 3: Martha Jones. She, being the first black female to have a main part, is also one of my favorites. She was one of the smartest, and could finish the doctor's sentences. 4: Then it goes back to Donna. After Martha was left behind, the doctor went around a bit on his own, before meeting up with Donna again. She was my least favorite of all the doctor's companions. 5: Amy Pond. Amy was introduced when the 10th doctor regenerated, and the 11th was born. Fresh out of a steamy TARDIS, Amy was to first to see him. 6: Rory Williams. Now technically, Amy and Rory were together, but Amy came first. Rory, the quirky boyfriend, was a big part of seasons 6 and 7, he was the roman. 7: Clara Oswald: Introduced in season 7, somewhere in the middle, and is in my top three companions. She was just sarcastic, and called the Doctor out, but still loved him. Clara also stayed through season 8, where Peter Capaldi was introduced as the 12th doctor.
Over all, I love the series, and I can't wait for the next regeneration. Maybe they'll spice things up and make a female doctor?
Anyway, if you haven't watched this and are into sci-fi stuff, check it out. BECAUSE ITS AMAZING!
