Fantastic Four: Okay, so before I start, I have to say this: This film does not deserve the hate that it's getting!

Is it a particularly good film? No, but to put it in line with Superhero disasters such as Batman and Robin and Daredevil is in my opinion a bit of an exaggeration.

That being said, I still cannot recommend seeing this film. The acting from Miles Teller and Kate Mara is flat at best, the character development was obviously worked on but edited to hell and back so that barely any of their later choices/actions made much sense and the first time we see these guys really use their powers is in the final climax!

The special effects are pretty decent (with the exception of Mr Fantastic's stretching which is just laughable most of the time), the darker tone DOES make things (and The Thing! :D ...Get it? Okay.) more interesting and I loved Toby Kebbell as Dr Doom. The horridness the people behind this film had to go through was paramount throughout its entire production and making it even sadder to see that there were clearly highly talented professionals really giving their all for this.

I don't know what happened behind the scenes of the editing room but this has the markings of a possibly good film gone bad.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to wait for the news report of Disney's triumphant takeover of the FF film franchise... Because the Mouse always wins... Always...
