The cast of the Nickelodeon TV series Animorphs was the perfect weirdly awesome 1990s collective of teens. Some of them have gone on to do pretty big things with their careers, too! Check out the Animorphs theme song, in case either you were too cool (read: lame) to watch it) or you were just too old or young at the time.

Could be, quite easily one of the best theme songs of all time. I'm still a big fan about two decades later!

So, here they are. The cast then... and now.

Jake (a.k.a. Prince Jake to Axe) played by Shawn Ashmore

Clearly a success, he proved he could act by being about 21 years old while playing a teenager. But not just any teen, he was the leader of the group. Getting an older actor to play a teen was pretty much par for the course on Nickelodeon back then. Of course, he's still looking good, and as you can see he was Iceman in [X-Men: Days Of Future Past](tag:203942). He also plays Agent Mike Weston in The Following.

Rachel played by Brooke Nevin

Brooke Nevin played the blonde hottie and cousin of Jake on Animorphs. She's done well on TV since, starring in The 4400 and Call me Fitz. She's also had guest roles on Charmed, How I Met Your Mother, Supernatural, and Smallville. Also, as you can see she's still killing it in the looks department from this photo of her at the Leo Awards in June.

Marco played by Boris Cabrera

Marco was the comedic relief best-friend who apparently left acting a bit behind and went on a "let me get as buff as possible" mission that has been extremely successful. He has had some guest spots on Everybody Loves Raymond and NYPD Blue, but his acting was more limited after around 2004. Dude looks good, though. I can't lie.

Cassie played by Nadia-Leigh Nascimento

Nascimento gave up on Hollywood around 2001 to pursue a career as a Senior Strategist at Invoke Media. She was also a Product Manager at memelabs, and has been a big part of building one of the first media centers in West Africa. It looks like she's still doing big things, even though those things don't necessarily include the big or small screen!

Tobias played by Christopher Ralph

Tobias was an outsider in the group who spent most of his time on Animorphs stuck inside the body of a hawk due to staying in morph over the time limit. Yikes, that sucks. Christopher Ralph went on to play roles in In a Heartbeat and 1-800-Missing. He also had a guest role on Instant Star. He did a number of minor roles up until 2011, at which point his information kind of disappears.

Aximili-Esgarrouth-Isthill a.k.a. Axe played by Paulo Costanzo

First of all, gotta say that like fine wine, this dude seems to have gotten more attractive with age. He killed it as Axe, which led to many more opportunities in Hollywood shortly after the show finished. He had roles in movies like Josie and the Pussycats and 40 Days & 40 Nights, and after that he returned to the smallscreen in Joey. He's currently Evan in Royal Pains, which will go to an 8th season.

What a show... and the books aren't bad either. Talk about a blast from the past!
