The two greatest relationships of Superman's life have famously been human Lois Lane and, with the New 52 reboot, Amazonian princess Wonder Woman.
While speaking with Cosmopolitan, [Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice](tag:711870) actor Henry Cavill weighed in on whether or not he thought Lois or Diana were a better fit for Superman:
This is a very long discussion because there are a lot of questions to be asked and answered. I mean who is better for a super-powered alien, a human or a goddess? Yes, the goddess can do all the normal things, which we would think are normal in a relationship, and not have any fear of Superman. But you also need to have that baseline of humanity, which Lois provides. And literally keeps his feet on the ground, keeps him down to earth. So that's more of a debate than an answer.
With the introduction of Gal Godot's Wonder Woman in Dawn of Justice, it will be interesting to see if Clark Kent and Lois Lane continue down the romantic path that they started in Man of Steel, or if Diana's arrival will make him veer from the course. My hope? That Wonder Woman and Batman get close, because that has always been an interesting dynamic.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is in theaters on March 25, 2016.
