We can all be a hero...

Honestly, it's a tiny promo. It's barely a promo. It's less than the filler you'd see between TV shows. But it's something. And with October slowly approaching, bringing with it both the season premiers of Arrow Season 4 and The Flash, we need something to keep us going.

The promo is literally a ten second trailer (it is 26 seconds on The CW YouTube channel but that's because the last 16 seconds are self advertising for the channel) which shows a handful of images. If you haven't seen the promo, check it out here:

The trailer shows us another look at Barry's new Flash outfit, complete with white background logo. This is a change many fans have been looking forward to as it brings the television hero even closer to his comic book counterpart. Personally, I think it looks very cool, although I never had any problem with the red background on the logo in Season 1.

We are also shown the "toy-maker" of S.T.A.R. Labs, Cisco Ramon, looking perplexed. We can't be sure what he's looking at but it's definitely something out of the ordinary. Then again, when has anything happening in Central City really been ordinary? This look could be a result of something from the wormhole Barry was seen attempting to close at the end of Season 1, or it could be the return of Harrison Wells? Whatever the case, we will have to wait and see to be sure.

Next we are shown everyone's favorite criminal duo: Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows... I, uh, mean, Captain Cold and Heatwave! In the shot they are fighting against someone, although we don't know who. By their frenzied reactions and the fact they are working as a team against it, we can assume that whoever it is is a meta.

The directions they are looking in could tell us something about the fight. Neither are looking at the same spot. Perhaps this means they are fighting a speedster? Barry Allen? Jay Garrick? Zoom? Someone too fast to keep their eyes on. Yet they seem to be focused on looking upwards overall. Could this be a nod towards Hawkgirl's or Hawkman's appearance in the Arrowverse? I'd like to think so!

Barry backs away from something during the promo, looking frightened. We aren't shown what he backs away from but it must be a villain of some grandeur to scare our Scarlet Speedster. His slight upwards look could imply the return of Gorilla Grodd, who escaped the clutches of Barry and his team in Season 1.

What's really interesting in this shot isn't what Barry is running from, but Barry himself. Notice that his suit boasts the red background badge. This tells us that the suit change will happen some way into the show. There might even be a practical reason for the change.

Finally, we see The Flash speaking the only line in the trailer: "Right on time." Who's right on time? Arrow? Hawkgirl? The S.T.A.R. Labs team? Captain Cold? Barry's shoulder is covered in a layer of ice and snow which tells us he has been battling with Captain Cold. Does this mean that the screenshot of the Rogue's and this one are from the same episode? Does Barry, therefore, call for help to take them down?

It's a short promo. I cannot wait until The CW releases a full length trailer for the second season of The Flash. Until then, this will have to do. What did you think of the promo? Are you excited for Season 2 of The Flash? Did I miss anything in the trailer? Let me know your thoughts down below.

And remember, The Flash Season 2 premiers on The CW on Tuesday, October 6th. Don't miss it!
