So we found out earlier last week that Spider-Man would have a bigger role in [Captain America: Civil War](tag:994409) than we initially expected. With reports of a scene inside of Peter Parker's home life, it seems as if we may be getting our first look at one of the most important people in Spider-Man's life, Aunt May.
Well that is pretty obvious right?
While all of this has yet to be confirmed by Marvel, industry insiders are pretty sure that we will see Marisa Tomei's Aunt May character in Civil War. Fans everywhere rejoiced in the fact that Marvel is kinda making Aunt May into a smoking hot character and they may get their first glimpse before a Spider-Man solo film.
Is Marisa Tomei right for the role of Aunt May?
Marisa Tomei is a very well known actress best known for her work throughout the 80s and 90s. My Cousin Vinny was my first exposure to her work and it still stads as my favorite. It seems as if every Spider-Man remake we get Aunt May just gets younger and younger. We got the traditional, near 70s Aunt May in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man film, an outstanding performance by Sally Field in the Amazing Spider-Man series, and now we get a certified smoke bomb coming to the MCU. Marisa Tomei is 50 years young but surely does not look like it. She makes 30-year old people look 60. I think this version of Aunt May will definitely be different but I think it could work. The MCU is always evolving and Tom Holland's Spider-Man is very young so why not make Aunt May young? I think Marvel knows what they are doing and I am fully confident in their judgement. Marisa Tomei will bring a great on-screen presence and hopefully we get out first look in Captain America: Civil War!
Do you think Marisa Tomei is right for Aunt May?
