For as long as I can remember Disney movies have had a hand in making me feel inspired and, in my adult years, have helped me maintain a sense of childlike wonder. Some artists have taken that feeling and used their talents to add to classic Disney movies by repainting single images from various films.
Each of the following Disney films were already works of art in their own right, but these fan artists took the time to add a bit of their own touches to them, adding new life to the animated movies we love. Check them out below!
1. One Hundred and One Dalmatians
According to their pages, Tyson Murphy seems to be the inspiration behind a lot of these pieces.
2. Robin Hood
Look at all that detail!
3. The Emperor's New Groove - Yzma
And to think I didn't know Yzma could get any creepier.
4. The Emperor's New Groove - Kuzco
Looks like Kuzco's palace has some gorgeous sky lighting in this image. I would also give anything to be able to sleep on his giant, comfy throne pillow.
5. The Great Mouse Detective
The smoke in front is a great touch! Miss Kitty Mouse has never looked better.
6. The Lion King
Simba and Nala have never looked better than as proud parents.
7. Lilo & Stitch
Doesn't this just make you want to give Stitch the biggest hug? He's so fluffy!
Tarzan and Jane. Serious relationship goals, repainted or not.
9. The Little Mermaid
If Ariel's luscious locks didn't give me hair envy before, then Shi Chelminski's repaint definitely did.
