Since the reveal of Fox's Gotham, there has been one question on everyone's mind: When's Batman going to show up? We've already met the young Bruce Wayne, who's eventually going to be spending his nights in the cape and cowl, but what about the full grown, bone breaking, name taking, Batman? Fortunately enough, one of the stars revealed when exactly we're going to see the Bat grace our TV screens.
Ben McKenzie, who plays James Gordon on the show, answered the inevitable question during the Gotham panel at Wizard World Chicago. We won't be seeing the Caped Crusader for awhile (which is understandable), so don't get too excited. Comicbook.com filmed the panel where McKenzie said:
The last frame of the last shot of the last scene of the last episode of Gotham, whatever season that may be, is Bruce putting on that cape.
Well, now we know. I personally was hoping for jumps into the future, where we would see glimpses of Batman here and there, but I'm much more comfortable with us not getting a glimpse until the very end of the show. After all, it is a prequel for Batman and his caped vigilantism, right?
The show does an exceptional job taking us through the lives of famous characters before they became the heroes and villains that we know and love (or love to hate) today. The dynamics and the relationships that have been established throughout the season have developed quite nicely. Even though the show's reviews have been mixed from the start, things began to even out as the season progressed. Take a look at what's in store for Gotham in this Season 2 promo.
Season 2 of Gotham premieres September 21st at 8:00pm on FOX.
