It's definitely not an uncommon story in Hollywood to discover that a pair of co-stars ended up in a passionate relationship beyond the cameras. They spend countless hours together with little interaction with other people, and when the chemistry is there, it can be downright difficult to deny it. Sometimes this leads to permanent relationships, but more often, you end up with the kind of hook-ups that come straight from the scenes of sitcoms.

Here are some of the famous duos from yesteryear that took their relationships beyond the space of your TV.

1. John Stamos & Lori Loughlin (Full House)

Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky were the stand-out relationship in the Tanner household, but their chemistry makes even more sense when you realize these two had feelings for each other behind the scenes. The fact that these two had a bit of a fling was mostly under wraps until John Stamos sat down to talk to The Huffington Post and admitted that Loughlin was "the one that got away." Have mercy on us, John. We still want you two back together.

2. Jason Segel & Linda Cardellini (Freaks and Geeks)

After the short-lived brilliance of Freaks and Geeks, co-stars Jason Segel and Linda Cardellini began seeing each other. They admitted their affection during the DVD commentary on a couple of the show's episodes. Rumor has it that their split was the one that inspired Segel's naked break-up scene in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, inspiring him to never put clothes on again if his significant other "needs to talk."

3. Mark-Paul Gosselaar & Lark Voorhies (Saved by the Bell)

Despite the fact that most fans of Saved by the Bell were pulling for Zack Morris to end up with Kelly Kapowski, his real-life counterpart made the more unexpected choice. After meeting Lark Voorhies on set, Mark-Paul Gosselaar dated her for three years. No matter who you wanted him to end up with, you have to admit it's pretty cute that their names rhyme.

4. Barry Williams & Maureen McCormick (The Brady Bunch)

Just because a show promises wholesome family values doesn't mean some raunchy activities can't take place off-camera! Maureen McCormick and Barry Williams (better known as step-siblings Marcia and Greg) got hot and heavy while filming in Hawaii, McCormick revealed in a tell-all memoir. In the same passage, she admitted that she was ready to lose her virginity to him, but Barry's parents walked in and busted them. I guess sometimes life really does pan out like a sitcom.

5. Mike Lookinland & Susan Olsen (The Brady Bunch)

Even more shocking than the tryst between Marcia and Greg is the unexpected hookups that occurred between the youngest members of the Brady clan. Susan Olsen, who played Cindy Brady, proved she's just as candid as her tattle-tale alter-ego when she publicly gave details. She and Mike Lookinland (Bobby) would sneak out to the doghouse to make out when they were only nine years old! What would Alice say?

6. Will Smith & Tyra Banks (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air)

After appearing on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air as Jackie Ames, Will's old friend from West Philly, Tyra Banks, caught the real Will's eye and locked him down for a full year. Funnily enough, Will met his current wife Jada Pinkett-Smith in a similar fashion: when she auditioned for a role on Fresh Prince.

7. Sara Gilbert & Johnny Galecki (Roseanne)

Johnny Galecki has gone on to date (and split from) current co-star Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, but his original onset romance with Sara Gilbert could not be any more touching. The Roseanne duo began seeing each other when Sara revealed she had a crush on him. When they started taking things to the next level, Sara admitted that she got surprisingly depressed. She eventually realized that she was attracted to women, and when she told Johnny that she identifies as a lesbian, he was extremely sweet, understanding, and respectful. To this day, the pair remain friends as Johnny dramatically helped Sara come to terms with her sexual identity.

8. Jennifer Love Hewitt & Will Friedle (Boy Meets World)

Sure, Jennifer Love Hewitt may have only appeared on one episode of Boy Meets World, but what an episode it was! Who could ever forget Jennifer Love Pfefferman trying to move in on Angela's screaming territory? In real life, Will Friedle was just as enamored with Jennifer as his character, and the pair dated in 1997.

9. Jennifer Aniston & Charlie Schlatter (Ferris Bueller)

Yes, there was a TV show version of Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and though it was extremely short-lived, it helped bring Jennifer Aniston to further prominence on television. Jennifer actually played Ferris's older sister Jeannie on the show, but that didn't prevent her from having a "brief, torrid romance" with co-star Charlie Schlatter.
