Now, with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice fast approaching (well, technically, approaching at the exact same rate of 24 hours per day, but you know what I mean), it's perhaps not too surprising that excitement levels for the superhero street-fight are currently destroying roofs the world over.

What is a little more surprising, however, is that - despite the initial announcement having arrived close to two years ago - there are a whole lot of people out there who remain a little...underwhelmed with the DC Cinematic Universe' Wonder Woman: Gal Gadot.

To bridge that enthusiasm gap, then, it seemed about time for us to take a look at:

Everything You Need to Know About Gal Gadot

Except, of course, her bank details, personal phone number and what size dress she wears. Those you can ask her for yourself if you ever happen to meet her...

First up, then?

7. Her Name Sure Is Appropriate for an Island-Dwelling 'Amazon'

Specifically, 'Gal' means wave in Hebrew, while 'Gadot' means riverbank or shore. Apt, perhaps, for a woman now set to play an Amazonian warrior who grew up on an isolated island...

6. She Was Crowned Miss Israel in 2004

Plus, as a result, she competed in the Miss Universe competition in Ecuador, but failed to make it into the top 15. Though, since none of the other entrants are currently Wonder Woman, she's most likely learned to live with that particular disappointment...

5. She's Set to Have a Huge 2016

With starring roles in Criminal, Triple Nine and Keeping Up with the Joneses (not to mention some small indie movie about a guy who likes bats, and the superintendent who opposes him), Gadot has a pretty solid shot at reaching superstar status by 2017...

4. Her Family Is from All Over Europe

Specifically, she has grandparents from the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria and Germany - making her very much a product of Israel's pan-European diversity...

3. She's Served in the Military

Another by-product of Gadot's Israeli identity? She served in the Israeli Defense Force for two years (as all Israeli citizens are required to do). Which, in turn, means that...

2. She Knows Her Way Around a Weapon

Something that's likely to come in handy when it comes time to brutalize Lex Luthor with a sword. And, best of all...

1. She Does Her Own Stunts

As you'd perhaps expect from an ex-soldier who's worked in the Fast and the Furious franchise, Gadot is perfectly comfortable doing her own stunts - including jumping "from a motorcycle to a moving jeep"...

The big question, though?
