In case you haven't surfed the internet for a while, in July we got from San Diego Comic-Con our very first look of the Suicide Squad trailer and the [Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice](tag:711870) trailer, though we still have a year of waiting for the DC Extended Universe to actually start. This hasn't stopped us of making, reading theories about this new DC universe on the big screen.

One of the most popular theories is Jared Leto's Joker actually being Jason Todd.

Let’s think a little bit here, we get an old Batman, probably retired, with his biggest enemies already in Arkham. As we watch the Batman vs Superman trailer we can see the Robin altar with the creepy Joker message “HA HA HA JOKE'S ON YOU BATMAN”.

The right question is, what is the joke in here, is it that the joker killed Robin? Or is it Robin being the (new) joker. Or just an Easter egg? We jump forward in BvS: DoJ trailer where Bruce Wayne is being teased by the events of Wayne Tower in Man of Steel. “YOU LET YOUR FAMILY DIE”.

"Dozens Killed" I found the joke guys.

I have watched this trailer a lot of times and I always see the same letter on the Robin suit and in this newspapers. I’m almost 100% sure it’s the joker, I don’t see Lex Luthor knowing Bruce was Batman, but this means the joker knows Batman identity.. To me this could not be the real Joker, he doesn’t want and need the Batman’s secret identity, he doesn’t want the fun to be spoiled, and we have seen examples of this on Heath Joker, in this year Arkham Knight.

So it’s pretty logical we assume this can be Jason Todd’s Joker, he knows Batman is Bruce, he hates Batman for not killing the Joker after he killed him. He seeks revenge and he’s willing to make Bruce body and mind suffer to the point of giving up the Batman cowl and getting Arkham mad in the process.

At the end, this are pretty cool thoughts, we have to wait until next year to see if this new joker interpretation is really going Jason Todd being the Joker. I hope not, I would love to see a Red Hood story for a solo Batman movie.

Note: If you wanna read some more about this Jason Todd being the Joker on the DCEU you cand read it right here.

Oh yeah, forgive me for quoting dorkly.
