It's long been posited that the geeks will inherit the earth, and The Big Bang Theory crew has just won a sizable victory in terms of that particular battle!

Four of the highest paid actors (speaking in the traditional male sense of the word because for some reason Forbes has chosen to gender their lists) on TV are proud members of The Big Bang clan, once more cementing the popularity of the hit comedy show.

Now, after eight seasons together, Jim Parsons has joined his character Sheldon Cooper as a man at the top of his field by becoming the best paid actor in TV, closely followed by Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar.

Below is a rundown of just how much the nerdcore icons are pocketing compared to their fellow TV stars, and I'll also give you some insight into how Kaley Cuoco is doing in the wallet department these days.

Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper)

Earnings between June 1, 2014 and June 1, 2015: $29 million.

Jim Parsons ranked higher than his Big Bang co-stars thanks to his smash hit Broadway show and an endorsement deal from Intel.

Johnny Galecki (Leonard Hofstadter)

Earnings between June 1, 2014 and June 1, 2015: $27 million.

Kunal Nayyar (Raj Koothrappali)

Earnings between June 1, 2014 and June 1, 2015: $20 million.

Simon Helberg (Howard Wolowitz)

Earnings between June 1, 2014 and June 1, 2015: $20 million.

To put that into perspective, both Helberg and Nayyar, who were relative unknowns before the show began, earned the same amount as global superstar Ashton Kutcher, who is currently starring in Two and a Half Men.

Although she didn't feature on the Forbes list (the edition for women hasn't been released yet), Kaley Cuoco is also expected to be a high flyer in the highest paid lists this year, thanks to a recent pay negotiation that means she is now earning the shame amount as co-star Jim Parsons - an estimated $1,000,000 an episode.
