Entertainment Weekly revealed this week's cover featuring Lady Gaga, star of the upcoming American Horror Story: Hotel. Being an AHS fan can sometimes be difficult as details about upcoming seasons are often secretive and vague but I guess that is also what makes it pretty fun. We get to speculate and theorize which just increases the hype before each season. Last year the show's co-creator Ryan Murphy confirmed that each season is connected to one another, creating a huge puzzle that fans were determined to solve. There was a lot of watching, rewatching, screenshotting, fan theories, and diagrams in the wake of the revelation. Just google "ahs seasons connected" and you will find countless articles that will blow your fandom mind.
This season centers around the Hotel Cortez owned by Lady Gaga's character, The Countess, and her mysterious/possibly murderous hotel guests. There will also be flashbacks explaining the dark history of the Hotel Cortez and its original builder/owner, Mr. March, played by series regular Evan Peters. The most buzz-worthy news of all is the connection this season has to the first season, Murder House. Ryan Murphy stated to EW "we do go to the Murder House for one episode." And remember the realtor Marcy that sold the Harmon family their house? Well she's back! Marcy, played by Christine Estabrook, will make an appearance in Hotel as a real estate agent again. I guess she only specializes in murderous locations....
I'm sure there will be other season-connecting clues hidden in Hotel so keep your eyes pealed and your rewind button ready!
Along with Lady Gaga and Evan Peters, the cast includes Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Matt Bomer, Finn Wittrock, Cheyenne Jackson, Wes Bentley, Naomi Campbell, Max Greenfield, and maybe some secret surprises??
American Horror Story: Hotel premieres Wednesday October 7th, 10pm on FX.
