Everyone has been dying for a live action movie about one of the greatest Batman stories of all time. Hell, there are plenty of great actors who could fill in the roles, nowadays movies have outstanding CGI effects, and with Batman V. Superman rebooting the Batman franchise it is the perfect time to make this a live action film, especially with the worn out Robin suit we saw in Batman V. Superman trailer. So here are my ideas for the cast of Batman: Under the Red Hood. But before we begin I must share my theory of why Under the Red Hood should be made.

As it is shown in this picture, Robin's suit seems pretty worn out and battle damaged, it is also evident that The Joker is teasing Batman about Robin's death which is a big reference to A Death in the Family, the story in which the second Robin A.K.A. Jason Todd is brutally beaten and killed by the joker.

We all know that both Suicide Squad and Batman V. Superman are going to be connected somehow. However we do not know who or what is The Joker going to torture in this scene. My theory is that in this scene The Joker has kidnapped and is about to torture Jason Todd which leads to the worn out Robin suit with The Joker teasing Batman in Dawn of Justice. Now that I have shared my theory with the world let's move on to the casting.

1. Jensen Ackles as Red Hood A.K.A. Jason Todd

You may or may not have seen this coming, but I strongly believe that Jensen Ackles should play The Red Hood. He voiced the infamous anti-hero in the animated movie so why not cast him for a live action movie? After all he has the looks and the attitude of Jason Todd, not only that but he has done a great job in playing Dean Winchester for the show Supernatural.

2. Tom Welling as Nightwing A.K.A. Dick Grayson

I --as do many other people-- believe Tom Welling should be cast as Nightwing, Batman's first Boy Wonder. He is known for playing Clark Kent in his young years in the show Smallville, he did a great job in playing a teenager who struggles with his everyday life as well as with his superpowers. He'll save people and bring justice to those who deserve it without killing and will learn the responsibilities of a superhero who is on his own.

3. Ben Affleck as Batman A.K.A. Brunce Wayne

Okay okay, I know what some people might go against me on this one but just look at him in that bat suit, he looks totally badass! Not only that but I have heard really great things about this movie, one of them being a standing ovation. This could mean that everyone will get over Daredevil.

4. Jared Leto as The Joker

Not many people are looking forward to Jared Leto as The Joker and trust me if I could I would totally cast Heath Ledger, however he passed away (R.I.P. Heath Ledger). But just look at Leto, he looks insane!

5. Jason Isaacs as Ra's Al Ghul

Jasson Isaacs did an outstanding job voicing The Head of the Demon in Batman: Under the Red Hood, I believe he is a good choice. He also played Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies and he was good.

6. Bryan Cranston as Commissioner Jim Gordon

He did an outstanding job in playing Walter White in the show Breaking Bad, not only that but he also has the looks of Commission Gordon, and it wouldn't be a true Batman movie without Jim Gordon himself.

This pretty much concludes my casting for the major characters for a Batman: Under the Red Hood movie. There is a rumor going on that Batman will receive a standalone movie that will be based on this famous story. Hopefully DC will get some ideas for the casting by reading this article. This is my first article and I hope you enjoyed reading it.
