It's easy to only see the present moment when it comes to our favorite stars. But, let's go back to the time when our these celebs first made their first step up the fame ladder. Here at Moviepilot we have put together some of the steps which these famous faces had to take before they got to where they are now!

Time to unleash those embarrassing commercials of 15 celebrities before they were famous, followed by a break down of the first big roles that followed.

1. Mila Kunis - Lisa Frank Commercial, 1993

After realizing how super awesome, cool and colorful the stickers were in the advert. Mila's carried on working hard, and right before her 15th birthday she landed the part of Jackie Burkhart on the television series That '70s Show. In 2008, this lovely actress found the break she had been dreaming of when she got the role of Rachel Jansen in Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

2. Paul Rudd - Super Nintendo Commercial, 1991

Before his career took off, Paul practiced some dramatic looking facial expressions in this advert for Super Nintendo. His first huge role came just four years later when he got the part of Josh in Clueless.

3. Kristen Stewart - Porsche Commercial, 1999

Well, there's the Kristen you probably thought you would never see, back in 1999. This was one of Kristen's first roles before she sunk her teeth into being a fully fledged actress. I wonder if Porsche predicted what a huge star this awesome lady would become! Just two years later, in 2001, Kristen starred in The Safety of Objects, followed by the notorious Panic Room barely a year later.

4. Leonardo DiCaprio - Bubble Yum Commercial, 1988

Yep, our favorite heartthrob used to advertise the humble Bubble Yum! In 1989, Leonardo continued making steps to getting where he is now. His first role came in The New Lassie TV Series, where he played Glen. DiCaprio's big screen breakthrough came in 1992, when he was handpicked by Robert De Niro himself, out of 400 actors, to play the lead role in This Boy's Life.

5. Ben Affleck - Burger King Commercial, 1989

Would you like a side of fries with that reaction? And is it just me or did that lady on the phone sound totally like a porn star? After cruising to win whoever that lady's heart was, Ben kept driving towards some more meatier roles. In 1993 he made his movie debut as O'Bannion in Dazed and Confused.

6. Jennifer Lawrence - MTV My Super Sweet 16, 2005

She was really crusin' for a bruisin' in this advert, although I am guessing MTV wouldn't have allowed sweet Jennifer to actually get hurt, right? Just three years later in 2008 she got herself a role in The Burning Plain, followed by Winter's Bone in 2010. Just a few years from tumbling on that Sweet Sixteen commercial, Jennifer found her fame in 2011 when she got the part of Mystique in X-Men: First Class.

7. Brad Pitt - Pringles commercial, 1988

Brad really did a fine job at forming a Pringles party starring in that energetic advert! I have to admit, my mind was pretty blown when I saw the crunchy origins of Brad's career. In 1991, Brad started getting real recognition when he played a cowboy hitchhiker in the movie Thelma & Louise. Brad was then cast in some big budget productions. In 1992, he starred in the drama A River Runs Through it, followed by Legends of the Fall in 1994. It was in this year that he starred in Interview with the Vampire alongside Tom Cruise and his career really kicked off.

8. Mark Ruffalo - Clearasil Commercial, 1989

If you ever get a zit, then I am sure after seeing this, you will be having 'zap' bouncing around your head. It took quite sometime for Mark to find his place as a movie star. Along the way he built up heaps of smaller roles in films and TV before he found his footing in the acting world. In 1999 he got a part in Ang Lee's Ride with the Devil. After that, his film and TV roles just kept on coming!

9. Sarah Michelle Gellar - Burger King Commercial, 1981

After starring in the Burger King advert and openly saying "I know the perfect way to show McDonald's how I feel: I go to Burger King." This commercial found itself at the center of a lawsuit. The result was that the actress was banned from all McDonald's restaurants. Judging from what Sarah said, I doubt she would have wanted to go there anyway! Thankfully, Sarah did not let this incident get her down and she kept taking on smaller parts until she eventually played a reoccurring role in the TV series Swans Crossing, appearing in 63 episodes.

10. Keanu Reeves - Coca Cola Commercial, 1983

In his early career, Keanu appeared in many Coca Cola commercials. After this fizzy introduction to acting, he continued by appearing in short films and went on to do stage work. In 1984, he worked as a correspondent for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation TV youth program Going Great. Three years later, in 1986, Keanu landed a role in his first movie Youngblood. It was 16 years later that he got the part in The Matrix.

11. Bryan Cranston - Preparation H Commercial, 1980s

After doing some adverts for hemorrhoid relief, the star of Breaking Bad worked his way up Hollywood's ladder. He even started out starring alongside Pamela Anderson as the character Tom Logan in Baywatch. If you have seen Saving Private Ryan, you can spot Bryan as the colonel who insists that Private Ryan should be saved.

12. Elijah Wood - Cheese Commercial, 1990

Prior to finding his home in the Shire, you may have never guessed that Elijah was once super excited by some liquid cheese. If you have seen Back to the Future Part II (which was released one year before this cheesy commercial), then you will have seen Elijah's first role. He played in a minor role as the "video game playing boy." In 1992, Elijah co-starred with Mel Gibson and Jamie Lee Curtis in Forever Young, this was the start of a whole lot of work to come.

13. Steve Carell - Brown's Chicken Commercial, 1989

Is it just me or are you sensing a pattern here? A lot of these famous faces found their earliest roles working on food commercials. I am not entirely sure how a chicken can be cooked cholesterol free, but apparently anything is possible! Seven years later, this actor made reoccurring appearances as various characters on The Dana Carvey Show. Fun Fact: Dana played the amazing Garth in Wayne's World.

14. Jack Black - Pitfall Video Game Commercial, 1983

Jack already had being a totally persuading actor nailed as a kid. After convincing us about how awesome the video game was, this actor went on to do various smaller parts on TV and beyond. In 1994, his big break came when he played the character Slip in The Neverending Story III.

15. Drew Barrymore - Pillsbury Cookie Dough Commercial,1979

Aw, how adorable is little Drew! Not only did she get to star in the advert, but she got to sample the goodness of the cookies too, awesome. Just a few years later, in 1982, this sweet child actress landed the part of Gertie in one of my most favorite movies: E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. This part was followed by two years, starting in 1982, where the actress co-starred in Firestarter, playing the part of Charlene 'Charlie' McGee.
