Aah, internet. You're such a welcoming presence when it comes to tiding over the days, weeks, months and years spent waiting for a long hyped IP to release. And never have I seen it work as hard as it has for this year's impending Star Wars sequel The Force Awakens.

Filmmaking collective InfectiousDesigner have put together an utterly brilliant stop gap, to fill the gaping hole, called Darth Punk, which combines the iconic imagery of Star Wars with the retro, cyborgian Gallic flair of the be-helmeted Daft Punk. Another set of icons that have been away too long!

The video is loaded full of pumping house, '80s neon badassery, lightsaber wielding breakdancers and Boba Fett and Darth Vader rocking the most swag pair of helmets I've seen in a long time.
