The long awaited Captain America: Civil War is not too far away now, and we should be getting a trailer in the next couple of months. But for now we have some pretty revealing promo art for the superhero film which confirms which heroes are batting for either team.

Team America:

Leading the charge is obviously Captain America, the leader of the Avengers. On his team is Hawkeye, Ant-Man, Sharon Carter, Falcon and Winter Soldier.

It looks as though Bucky a.k.a. Winter Soldier now remembers that Captain America is indeed his old WW2 buddy, Steve Rogers, and has allied himself with the super soldier. Falcon, of course, is very loyal to Cap. Sharon Carter is a surprise, I didn't expect to see her on any one side. Hawkeye was rumored to be fighting for Cap and on his shoulder is Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, who from the D23 trailer, is a very big Captain America fan and has had interactions with Falcon in the past.

Team Stark:

Fighting alongside Iron Man, who's sporting some new armor, is War Machine, Black Widow, Black Panther and Vision.

James Rhodes a.k.a. War Machine is a long-time ally and friend of Stark, I didn't expect Black Widow to be allied with Stark, purely because of her friendship with both Captain America and Hawkeye. We heard that Black Panther would be in the middle of the conflict and not taking either side, apparently that's not true according to this art. And Vision, who were introduced to in Age of Ultron, was a semi-creation of Stark's, so it's not surprising that he's allied himself with Iron Man.

What stands out to me is how much more powerful Stark's team looks compared to Cap's. Vision is one of the most powerful heroes in the MCU, War Machine and Iron Man both possess very powerful suits, and Black Panther and Black Widow are characters known to do some damage.

Here's a shot of the opposing forces charging into battle:

We have yet to see any pictures of Spider-Man, who was rumored to be fighting alongside Stark in the film. In the comic book story, Spider-Man was between each side, a role that Black Panther was rumored to fill in the film. Perhaps due to the Sony-Marvel agreement, some story changes occurred, making Spider-Man the undecided hero. We also don't have any sign of Scarlet Witch, who was rumored to be fighting beside Captain America. Perhaps both of those heroes won't play a part in the story until much later on.
