Arguably one of the most anticipated movies of 2016, Captain America: Civil War has many fans wondering what's going to take place in the American-themed Avenger's third installment.

We know that the cast is going to have a hefty line-up of characters which is even larger than what appeared in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Another question of who was going to be one teams with who (Cap or Iron Man?), well, it seems that the first official release of some of the promo art can lay those questions to rest.

Check out the amazing art below!

Team Captain America

From left to right, here are the members of Captain America's team:

  • Scott Lang/Ant-Man (Ant-Man)
  • Clint Barton/Hawkeye (Thor/The Avengers/Avengers: Age of Ultron)
  • Sharon Carter/Agent 13 (Captain America: The Winter Soldier)
  • Steve Rogers/Captain America (Captain America: The First Avenger/The Avengers/Captain America (Captain America: The Winter Soldier/Avengers: Age of Ultron)
  • Sam Wilson/Falcon (Captain America: The Winter Soldier/Avengers: Age of Ultron/Ant-Man)
  • Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier (Captain America: The First Avenger/Captain America: The Winter Soldier)

It's kind of funny to me how Scott Lang aka Ant-Man, is on the same team with Captain America when in the comics, Hank Pym (who was Ant-Man), sided strongly with Iron Man. Just goes to show that they're mixing it up.

It's interesting to note that they are giving actress Emily van Camp a larger part in this story considering that she made only a few, brief appearances in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

What else is cool to see is that the Winter Soldier himself has fully converted to the good-guy side of the MCU by allying himself up with Captain America once more.

Team Iron Man

From left to right, here are the members of Iron Man's team:

  • James Rhodes/War Machine (Iron Man [note: the actor was played by Terrance Howard in the first film and is now played by Don Cheadle]/Iron Man 2/Iron Man 3/Avengers: Age of Ultron)
  • Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Iron Man 2/The Avengers/Captain America: The Winter Soldier/Avengers: Age of Ultron)
  • Tony Stark/Iron Man (Iron Man/The Incredible Hulk/Iron Man 2/The Avengers/Iron Man 3/Avengers: Age of Ultron)
  • T'Challa/Black Panther (debut)
  • Vision (Avengers: Age of Ultron)

Some more interesting bits of info to catch out of this picture is that Black Widow, despite having been more involved with Captain America in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, something has caused her to ally herself with Tony Stark, whom she didn't have the best first impression with in Iron Man 2. It's also interesting that she is going head-to-head with her old Budapest-pal, Hawkeye.

Another note worthy observation is that Black Panther surprisingly has sided with Iron Man as well. In every comic I have read, Cap and Black Panther always had a mutual respect for each other and though may have come at odds once or twice, their end-goals ended up aligning themselves together. It's also rumored though, that Black Panther will switch sides somewhere in the second or third act of the film.

This is some amazing artwork and it definitely should get the fanboys squirming in their seats for this next epic installment in Marvel's Cinematic Universe (the 13th to be exact).

So what do you guys think? Do these pictures get you pumped and revved up for the next movie? What do you hope to see out of this film? And of course there's the question everyone's asking each other:

Team Captain America or Team Iron Man: Whose side are you on?
