I love films and I love comics. Would it be great if both of them were brought in to one? Oh wait they are. Let's do some blogs then!

The teams for [Captain America: Civil War](tag:994409) (2016) have been revealed! It turns out, that I got it wrong when I said that Vision would side with the Anti-Registration movement in my other article. Nevertheless, here are the teams:

From left to right we have Ant-Man (Scott Lang), Hawkeye, Agent 13 (descendant of Peggy Carter), Captain America, The Falcon, and Bucky Barnes (a.k.a. Winter Soldier).

It's really not a surprise that these people would join the Anti-Registration in the Civil War film. What really comes off as a huge surprise is who is in the Pro-Registration team.

From left to right, we have War Machine (James Rhodes), Black Widow, Iron Man, Black Panther, and the Vision.

It is really a huge surprise seeing Black Widow and Black Panther on the Pro-Registration side. I can imagine seeing War Machine side with his pal, Iron Man. I can also see why Vision is on this team, because Tony Stark created him (partially).

However, it came off as a surprise to me to see Black Widow here because of her apparent trust in Captain America, as seen in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, where she stuck it up to SHIELD, when it was compromised by HYDRA in the film. Also, her affiliation with the New Avengers by the end of Age of Ultron should confirm her allegiance to Captain America. Perhaps she is a double agent? We will find out in 2016.

Another surprise is how Black Panther sided with the Pro-Registration, because in the comics, he takes a neutral stand, choosing not to side with either movements at all, in order to protect his kingdom, Wakanda. Maybe Marvel Studios wanted to up the ante in the film, which is a bold move, considering how this movie will be a huge turning point in the MCU, and a launch point for many subsequent MCU films, tie-ins, and series.

Other Characters

It's true, you wanna see this film cause of me.
It's true, you wanna see this film cause of me.

There is no word yet on what teams the other characters will be in. There will apparently be big names appearing in the film, such as Baron Helmut Zemo, General Thaddeus (Thunderbolt) Ross, and Spider-Man, who will make his first MCU appearance in the film. There will also be characters previously introduced such as Scarlet Witch and Crossbones.

I assume that Crossbones will be an enemy of Captain America, however, as to who exactly recruits him, my best guess is Baron Zemo.

It was revealed that Spider-Man would get into a scuffle with some people in the film, but we don't know who exactly it would be. I just hope it isn't a joke that Marvel Studios is playing on us because I really want to see Spider-Man in action. Then again, we are already getting huge amounts of fanservice in this film.

Additionally, actor Martin Freeman will be in the film, albeit in an unspecified role. Perhaps he will be an important character (like Captain Britain, please Marvel) who will play an integral role in this movie and the subsequent ones, but we can only know for sure when the film comes out in 2016. It is also unknown if original Anti-Registration members such as Daredevil, Luke Cage and Jessica Jones, as well as Phil Coulson and his team SHIELD Agents from Agents of SHIELD, will appear in the film.

Captain America: Civil War, will premiere on May 6, 2016. If you want to read more about the film and to know some potential plot points in it, check out my other article here.
