Amanda "The Wall" Waller is a pivotal character that has made her mark throughout the lore of the DC Universe as a goal-driven, hard-ass vigilante who gets things done. The Wall doesn't get into fisticuffs often (but when she does, they generally end in her favor), but she's well-versed in the heroes and villains of her universe, and in Suicide Squad, she'll take the best of the worst (of the villains, that is) and assemble an antihero team that might change superhero films forever.
But then what?
Actress Viola Davis, who portrays Amanda Waller in Suicide Squad, told The New York Times that the character will be appearing in more than one upcoming DC Extended Universe film.
This is my first big superhero movie. I signed on for three, so it needed to be a great experience. This was a role that was just there to be fun. It was a chance to work with Will Smith, you know?
In all seriousness, Waller can work her way into several different storylines, but I expect to see her most involved within Batman's realm and her home, Gotham City. With rumored Batman standalone films in the works, it's not too hard to predict where she might be able to fit into future films.
Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 5, 2016.
