Most of you probably came to read this article weather you are a walking dead fan or not, mostly because I may have actually grabbed your attention , or you are actually here to "poke fun" at the title.[please note this was a fan theory that was presented to me by a friend, and i will let you know what my theory is based on this theory], so food for thought ......

the more i think about it the more it makes sense.
the more i think about it the more it makes sense.

what if the entire thing is really rick dreaming in his coma? This however brings up another question can you have detailed dreams while in a coma? I can't answer this due to the fact I have never been in a coma ,but if you really want to know ask someone who has been in a coma and come out alright. oh wait maybe you are in a coma and dreaming you are reading this article. Alright enough about the coma, here is the rest of the theory. at this point rick is woken up (or so he thinks) and the whole world has literally gone to hell. he wanders around what once was his home town, and neighborhood. to find it over run by.... yup you guessed it...... ZOMBIES. At this point rick is wondering if he has woken up at all and this is just some night-terror he is having from being in the coma. he goes home to find his wife and son are not there but knows that they are still alive ,and that he must find them.

Rick eventually finds his family with a group of survivors , who he joins and eventually takes over as their leader this turns the group from a democracy to a ricktatorship. which eventually causes him to drift away from his family.

why not? this would totally be a better governmet

Ok don't get me started on how the fact that when Lori died Rick starts caring around a phone he found at the prison, and claimed he herd Lori's voice on the other end of the phone. due to the fact than only he could hear her everyone else thought he was going crazy. Then Carl gets half his face blown off ,and suffers from amnesia for awhile. Then rick shows that he is a man of faith by praying to god and his prayers are simple " Just don't take my boy" but of cores they cant kill Carl because the fans will riot.

Now to finish off this theory if you have noticed mostly everyone except Rick and a select few die, which would suggest that rick is somehow in control. Rick will eventually wake up and everything will be almost exactly as he dreamed it in his coma.

which means this will happen.
which means this will happen.

Now i have a much more simpler theory. Rick actually dose wake up in a wold that has gone to hell only to find that Gods judgement on humanity is actually his sick idea of a joke. So the tribulation that Rick and the select few survivors go through is meant to amuse their God? but of course i know how to solve this problem.... build a light saber.....

nailed it
nailed it

But to answer the question "what was the walking dead originally meant to be about ? There are several answers. the first tow have to do with the the theory's I posted earlier. The first answer being it is about a guy who is in this coma who has this spectacular dream. the second answer is that God has a sick sense of humor because humans love zombie movies and books and junk ,he gave them what they wanted. The third answer is that the walking dead is simply about the survivors ,and their family s. But to know what the walking dead was actually meant to be about you would have to ask the creator what he had in mind.
