This is the second illustration in homage to my favourite horror films. I've picked Michael Myers from the Halloween movie franchise as I just found his mask incredibly disturbing when watching (even more so that it's supposed to be a William Shatner mask from a costume store.)! I think just seeing that alone on a table would be enough to give me goosebumps!

I'm still undecided as to which style of mask is more frightening.... what do you think?

This franchise is also partly the reason why I am so fascinated by real life killers, and thoroughly enjoy enjoy reading case studies or literature on the how/where/why of it all (I'm currently reading various books by Ann Rule, I recommend them if you love old police file cases of murders!).

Slasher films will always have a strong place in my heart, and as slashers go, this is up there as a solid favourite of mine. It was one of the highest grossing films of it's time, making $47 million at the box office when their own budget was $300,000.

For me, what makes these films so great is the utter 'creep factor' that some of the scenes have; Michael can just appear anywhere and it can send a chill up your spine as you watch!

So I hope my fellow horror fans enjoy my portrait of Myers, and please stick around for more portraits of my favourite Horror film characters!
