In the last few days several photos and even a full video of [Captain America: Civil War](tag:994409) footage have leaked online. The pics and clips are obviously footage of the Cap 3 trailer that was shown at Disney's 'D23' expo.
While we cannot display those images for obvious reasons. We can attempt to analyze them and show what we may or may not know from what the pictures revealed.
So here are 5 things we learned from the leaked footage.
1. This is very much still Captain America's film
There has been a lot of speculation about the authenticity of the film and whether or not it is a true chapter in Cap's film series or just Avengers 2.5. While this is somewhat true, considering the number of heroes and villains we are going to be presented with (Black Panther and Ant-Man both visible in leaks). It's actually going to be a little bit of both.
While the Civil War is the main selling point of the film, a lot of the leaked footage showed Cap fighting fan-favorite, Crossbones.
I think the film will be divided into two heavy segments, Part One will be Cap searching for and fighting Crossbones. And Part Two will be all out Civil War action. I think this because I highly doubt Crossbones is involved in the War itself. He just wants his hands on Cap. And it looks like he gets more than just his hands on him, too.
2. The Winter Soldier is officially an Avenger
If you've been living under a rock and have yet to see Ant-Man, you may not want to read this, but it is vital...
The Winter Soldier is alive and well and he's no longer under Hydra's spell. Now he's back to being Steve Rogers's best friend, Bucky Barnes. And as we saw in Ant-Man, Steve, was attempting to hide Barnes from the public at first considering all of the damage he did in Cap 2. We also see Rogers trying to get Bucky's arm free from some sort of trap.
Well, from what we know now, Bucky is free from his trap and Steve isn't trying to keep Bucky hidden anymore. Now he's a part of the fight. This is something that can't be sitting very well with Tony Stark. So I imagine this heavily adds fuel to the Civil War fire.
3. Scarlet Witch is in trouble?
One image from the leak showed a visibly distressed Scarlet Witch. Now this can mean many things, as her own psychic powers sometimes take a toll on her small frame.
But could there be a deeper meaning to the picture? As we saw in [The Avengers: Age Of Ultron](tag:293035) previews, Scarlet's distressed face was a hint at the Witch losing her brother. Could a valuable member of the team lose their life in Civil War? Could it be Scarlet Witch herself?
Recently, Disney revealed images showing which team the heroes will be riding with. One beautiful Avenger is missing form these images; can you guess who it is?
That's right, Scarlet Witch. I'll let you decide what that means...
4. Black Widow and Hawkeye go head-to-head!
One particular scene shows a pretty serious fight between Hawkeye and Black Widow. It's looking like their beloved brother-sister type relationship may be coming to an end in Civil War. Hawkeye seems pretty serious about riding with Cap, while I'm almost positive that Widow has doubts about siding with Tony.
We'll see what happens.
5. Still no sign of the big guy or the little guy, either
Almost all of the Avengers said to appear in Civil War were accounted for in the leaked media. Except for two fan-favorites who Marvel has been keeping under wraps for the most part.
Mark Ruffalo is pretty much confirmed for at least a brief appearance in Civil War, but no one is completely sure of his role. Before his plane launched, there was speculation he'd be launched into space for a possible GOTG cameo. But that was quickly debunked when Hulk was simply shot off on a jet to an isolated island. So now the rumor mill is saying that since General 'Thunderbolt' Ross has been confirmed, that maybe, just maybe we may get a Red Hulk preview.
B. Tom Holland's Spider-Man
Marvel has already confirmed that Tom Holland will appear in Civil War, and rumors suggest that he has already filmed some combat scenes. But the leaked trailer and pictures show no signs of him. I'm sure he is the most prized possession, too, when it comes to Civil War, so don't expect to hear or see anything soon. In fact, I think all we will get from Spidey in Civil War is an end-credit scene.
