In a collaboration project with my good friend and fellow creator Jonathan Johnson, we've both decided to pick five actresses who could play Blade's daughter Fallon Grey as a teenager (which is Jonathan's post you can check out here), and an adult, (which is my post), since there has been talk of using her in the MCU or in a new Netflix series in place of Blade.

While she is a newer character in the comics world, and there are no definite talks of using her for anything, it's still a fun experience to speculate on the actresses who are cut out for the job! She is a 16 year old girl in the basic lore she comes from, but with Marvel they change everything. So it's plausible that they would make her an adult, right? Well, going off of this idea, here are my five actresses who could play Fallon Grey.

1. Danai Gurira

Yeah, I bet you saw this choice coming from a mile away, so let's just get Michonne done first. Danai Gurira is the ultimate sword chick because of The Walking Dead, and I think everyone would love for her to trade the zombies (excuse me, walkers), for vampires. She could play this character blindfolded, because she's practically played her for the last four years! If this role were to be given to Gurira, then the MCU would stay in safe hands.

2. Kerry Washington

While some may argue that Kerry Washington is better suited for drama than action, there's no denying that she's a rising star, and a prime candidate for Marvel. Ever since her show Scandal has aired, she's been hot property in Hollywood, and would make a great edition to the MCU. I can't say much about her skills in an action movie, but I can say with confidence that she's one of the best rising stars out there, and the legacy of Blade would be more than safe with her.

3. Zoë Kravitz

There has been a lot of buzz on the Internet of wanting Zoë Kravitz to play Fallon, and I am among those people who think she is perfect for the role. She certainly has the innocent yet dangerous look that could be very well used in an aspiring vampire hunter, and she's made a name for herself as an up-and-coming actress. Doing movies like the Divergent series and X-Men: First Class, she certainly knows how to pick her projects, and I think that Fallon Grey could be her chance to break away from the supporting characters and become a leading lady.

4. Lupita Nyong'o

Lupita Nyong'o has proved herself to be one of the biggest new stars in Hollywood, and while she's known for her amazing drama 12 Years a Slave, she has already tackled action movies before with Non-Stop. While she was of course just a supporting character, and didn't do any action stunts herself, I believe that she has potential to do so. An actor of her critically acclaimed status should be able to do a range of different genres, and I wouldn't be surprised if Lupita felt right at home with action movies. Not to mention that Marvel should be on their toes looking for the most talented actors,/actresses and she is a prime recruit for the MCU!

5. Taraji P. Henson

While Taraji P. Henson is the oldest actress on this list, a Fallon Grey story line could take place decades after Blade is done with the vampire hunting spotlight. If they were to go with an older Fallon, Taraji would be the best, and quite possibly the only choice. It might be weird for me to say this, but I perceive Henson as being the female Will Smith. She can go into any role, and I would have no problems believing she's the perfect fit for any part. She's played everything from a helpful and concerned police officer trying to fight corruption on Person of Interest, to an afraid single mother in No Good Deed, to a ruthless record company tycoon on Empire. She can truly play the scale, and do it all well, and that's a quality I want to see her give Fallon Grey. She has the potential to make this character a total badass!
