Betty White Is Heading to Bones... as a Squintern!
When Bones returns for it's 11th Season in October, Betty White will be making an appearance as the Jeffersonian’s latest squintern!
For those people who aren't too familiar with the show, a "squintern" is a nickname Booth (David Boreanaz) has for the interns who work with Dr. Brennan (Emily Deschanel) at the Jeffersonian.
The Hot in Cleveland star will play Dr. Beth Mayer, "an accomplished, sharp as a tack squintern who is brought in to assist in a murder linked to fantasy football — which just happens to be one of her many areas of expertise. With a half century of work under her belt, Dr. Mayer is considered the world’s most experienced forensic anthropologist, which will lead to some serious competition with Emily Deschanel’s Brennan."
Aside from being announced on news sites, the casting news was also announced via Betty White's Twitter account.
Aside from a six season run on Hot in Cleveland, White has also starred in You Again, The Lorax, Community, The Proposal, Boston Legal and of course played Rose Nylund in The Golden Girls.
At the moment, she’s only set to appear in one episode this season, which is currently set to air in late October.
The 11th Season of Bones will premiere on FOX on Thursday, October 1.
