This article contains major potential spoilers for Game of Thrones Season 6. Proceed at caution.
The shock ending of Season 5 of Game of Thrones has left an information vacuum which is rapidly being filled with rumor and whispers. As you can imagine, most of this concerns a certain fan-favorite character who was ceremoniously gutted by his former comrades and brethren. Well, unfortunately, we don't have any new information on his status, but sources suggest a member of his family who suffered a similar fate is due to return.
Of course, when it comes to the Starks, there is barely a family member who hasn't met a grisly demise, but as far as we know (according to the books) only one is supposed to 'return' - Lady Stoneheart. The Irish Times are reporting:
Although this might be a new name for some, others will be well-aware of the significance of this moniker. In reality, Lady Stoneheart is the resurrected form of Catelyn Stark, who we last saw getting her throat slit in season 3.
Watch the harrowing Red Wedding scene below:
As you'd expect, death was changed Catelyn, and she is now hungry for revenge. If she does indeed return to the show, we can expect her to kill off a lot of characters - but to go into any more detail would bring major spoilers.
The arrival of Lady Stoneheart was also teased before the premiere of season 4, but ultimately the showrunners decided to forgo that storyline in favor of others. However, if Lady Stoneheart does return, we could also expect everyone's favorite band of resurrecting revolutionaries, The Brotherhood Without Banners, to also make a come back.
