The Legend of Zelda has always been beautiful. When you replay such classics as Ocarina or Majora's Mask, you're often surprised by the fact that they've aged. These games are immortalised in our minds with graphics that they'll never have. But such is the power of memory and The Legend of Zelda. But with this new video, what we've dreamt of has become reality!
There have been so many videos going round lately with the likes of Pokemon, Digimon and even Mario being rendered in Unreal Engine. Naturally it looks unre...amazing! But now The Legend of Zelda has joined the gang and let me tell you, Zora's Domain from Ocarina of Time, has never been as emotional and stunning as it is here!
The Legend of Zelda in Unreal Engine!
This stunning video by Michael Eurek is actually a follow-up to a piece he labelled "Temple of Time", which he created over a year ago. Be sure to check out the second piece below. There are no representations of any characters unfortunately - I'd really love to see Link and Zelda in Unreal Engine - but the environmental quality and design is breathtaking. He's also done a rather great job with music and sound effects, particularly in Zora's Domain.
Now, we've already seen footage of The Legend of Zelda Wii U, so we know that the Wii U doesn't have these sort of capabilities. But it's a nice look at what we can expect the franchise to achieve one day. But all this clip has really done is make me lament this perpetual wait! When can we expect a release date Nintendo?! Though I think we'd all just settle for a bit of footage at this stage. I really hope Nintendo aren't planning on releasing it on the NX...
How Far Are We From the Release Date of Zelda Wii U?
Is it just me, or are these videos depicting, like the most perfect place to live?! Hyrule is a beautiful place, one that has captivated us for years. It's probably home to the most consistently excellent franchise in Video Games. But how much longer are we really going to have to wait for Zelda Wii U? When can we return? The release date push was already quite a surprise!
In any case, let us know what you think of Michael Eurek's videos in the comments below and be sure to share your support on his page!
