Back in 2013, a Deadpool video game was released through Activision to a range of reactions. The bonkers-ness of the game and zany story was widely praised, while the actual gameplay itself garnered a mixed bag of responses.

And then some weirdness happened. Activision lost its license for Marvel Entertainment, so Deadpool and the rest of Activision's Marvel titles were pulled from shelves both physical and digital.

Now, I'm not entirely sure if Activision and Marvel worked out their issues or if a third party got involved, but GameStop announced today that Deadpool is getting rereleased for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in November.

It's entirely possible that Marvel worked out a deal with Activision for this title and this title alone, understanding that it would be a very smart - and likely profitable - move to rerelease the game in the lead-up to the Deadpool movie being released in February, with all the hype it's been getting.

In any case, if you missed out on the recent Steam sale for Deadpool, now's your chance to snag it for console. It will be available on November 17.

Chimichangas and decapitations for all!
