Cartoon Characters might enjoy the luxury of remaining children forever and never having to pay rent or scrub the shitter, but it's always interesting to think how they would turn out if they were allowed to spread their wings and soar into the independent, booze laden land of adulthood.

Thankfully, there are some super talented artist out there who have reimagined some of our favorite Cartoon Network staples now that they are all grown up, but did they turn out the way you thought they would?

Adventure Time

I didn't think it was possible to love Adventure Time any more until I saw this. Incredible.

Dexter's Lab

I always knew Dee Dee was infuriatingly persistent, but who could have predicted she'd be uttering the same catchphrase after so long?

Yes, I know it's not a Cartoon Network original, but I couldn't possibly leave out Ash and Misty.

Powerpuff Girls

Image by: The Day is Saved

Buttercup is still my favorite.

Ed, Edd and Eddy

Ed, Edd and Eddy have aged in a more photogenic way than anyone could have possibly imagined!

Camp Lazlo

I always knew there was tension between Lazlo and Edward, but I didn't imagine it was this kind.

Cow and Chicken

Cow and Chicken might not have grown up in this image, but the drawing style that depicts them certainly has.

Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends

It's nice to see a teenage Foster still has a place in his heart for his imaginary friends!

The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy

I'm not sure if the Grim Reaper or Mandy is the most terrifying...

Who knew Team Rocket was so damned stylish!

Mike, Lu and Og

Searching Deviant Art for this image taught me that a lot of people have a fetish for Mike...Who knew?!

Dexter's Lab

I love how this image suggests that Dexter and Dee Dee are learning how to tolerate each other as they grow up.

Powerpuff Girls

Is this how rainbows are made?!

Adventure Time

Fin's displaying an 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it attitude' by rocking the same hoodie we know and love!

Ed, Edd and Eddy

Their look might have changed, but you can still see Ed, Eddy and Eddy's zany personalities shining through.

Camp Lazlo

Why go full human when you can keep the tail?
