It was 11 years ago that two brothers found a dusty old board game in their basement and started playing the game of their lives in Zathura: A Space Adventure. The #JonFavreau directed film was the 'spiritual sequel' to the successful 1995 film #Jumanji, and kept the same concept of a magical board game, but made no mention of the events of Jumanji.
Zathura involved brothers Danny and Walter (along with their unfortunate sister Lisa), being pulled into outer space as they tried to finish the board game they had found in their father's basement. Throughout the film the siblings had to avoid the many dangers that the game presented them, including meteors, Zorgons and a defective robot (voiced by Frank Oz!). Don't quite remember? Jonah Bobo as Danny
Age then: 8

What's he been doing since? Following his role as young Danny, Jonah Bobo has continued acting with voice acting and TV roles, as well as appearing in movies. You may have spotted (or heard) the young actor in The Fox and the Hound 2, Choke, 30 Rock, Royal Pains, The Backyardigans, Crazy, Stupid, Love. and Disconnect. Most recently, Bobo appeared in a short film titled To Instigate Blue, which he also composed the music for, along with his band The Bonnie Situation. Check the film out HERE.
Josh Hutcherson as Walter

What's he been doing since? It's no secret that Josh Hutcherson has had a very busy life over the last 10 years, with his career going from strength to strength. After Zathura was released, you will have seen him in: RV, Bridge to Terabithia, Firehouse Dog, Fragments, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant, The Kids Are All Right, Detention, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, The Forger, Red Dawn, Epic, Escobar: Paradise Lost and In Dubious Battle. Obviously, the role he is most famous for is Peeta Mellark in the four films that make up The Hunger Games franchise, appearing alongside Jennifer Lawrence.
Dax Shepard as Astronaut
Age then: 30
Age now: 41
What's he been doing since? Zathura: A Space Adventure was one of comedian and actor Dax Shepard's earlier roles. Since then, he has followed the film up with work in film and TV including: Robot Chicken, Idiocracy, Employee of the Month, Let's Go to Prison, Halfway Home, The Comebacks, Smother, King of the Hill, Baby Mama, The Goode Family, The Freebie, When in Rome, Good Vibes, Hit and Run, Veronica Mars, The Judge, This Is Where I Leave You, Web Therapy, Parks and Recreation, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia and, his most well known role, as Crosby in the TV series Parenthood.
Kristen Stewart as Lisa

Age now: 26
What's she been doing since? Much like her costar Josh Hutcherson, Kristen Stewart's career (which was already very promising when she filmed Zathura) has continued on an upward climb. Following Zathura, you might remember seeing Kristen in: The Messengers, In the Land of Women, The Cake Eaters, Into the Wild, The Yellow Hankerchief, What Just Happened, Jumper, The Sarah Silverman Program, Adventureland, Welcome to the Rileys, The Runaways, Snow White and the Huntsman, K-11, Camp X-Ray, Clouds of Sils Maria, Still Alice, 9 Kisses, Anesthesia, American Ultra, Certain Women, Café Society and the upcoming Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk. However, Stewart's most famous role was as Bella Swan in the five films that comprise the The Twilight Saga.
Tim Robbins as Dad

What's he been doing since? Academy Award winner Tim Robbins starred as the dad in this family film, and since then has been steadily starring in a bevy of other films. You will have spotted him in: Catch a Fire, Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny, Noise, The Lucky Ones, City of Ember, Green Lantern, Portlandia, Thanks for Sharing, Life of Crime, The Spoils of Babylon, Welcome to Me, A Perfect Day, The Spoils Before Dying, and lately you may have seen him in the TV show The Brink playing Walter Larson alongside Jack Black.
