Now, with Josh Trank having departed the standalone Star Wars movie he was set to helm under something of a cloud, the chances of us ever actually seeing a Boba Fett-centric solo movie - for that was what it was rumored to be - may not actually be all that great.

Thankfully, though, while Lucasfilm may not be inclined to produce - or many fans all that inclined to see on the big screen - that Boba Fett adventure, that hasn't stopped fans of the saga from doing what they do best: coming up with an awesome fan-made solution to the problem.

Or, in other words, meet:

The Boba Fett Fan Film That Looks Like It Could Have Been Filmed by George Lucas

So much so, in fact, that it's almost tempting to pester its director, Eric Demeusy, to prove that he isn't, in actual fact, the principal resident of Skywalker Ranch.

After all, we're not just talking about your average fan-made Star Wars movie here.

We're talking...

Suspense...

Big Reveals...

Money Shots...

Professional-Looking Design Elements...

And, of course:

The Classic Star Wars Camera Pan in Space

Honestly, what's not to love?

In fact, if anything proves that a Boba Fett solo movie could actually be completely and utterly awesome, it's arguably this minute and a half of fan-made footage, kicking off his New Republic Anthology project (which, at this point, couldn't be much more exciting if it tried)...

Nicely played, Mr. Demeusy. Nicely played...

What do you think, though?
