After a recent casting call seemed to hint that Theon Greyjoy's ruthless uncle Euron Greyjoy (a.k.a. Crow's Eye) will be joining the cast for Season 6 of Game of Thrones, it appears as thought the role has been cast.

Thanks to the Game of Thrones fan community Watchers on the Wall, it looks as though the role will be played by Danish actor Pilou Asbæk, who may be familiar to you from his roles in The Borgias or Lucy.

Asbæk was spotted on set, filming scenes in Northern Ireland along with other members of the crew. If these sightings turn out to be all correct then we can expect Euron Greyjoy's arrival to have a rather interesting impact on Season 6. Crow's Eye is one of the most ruthless and brutal characters in George R.R. Martin's series.

Asbæk will join actors Max von Sydow and Ian McShane in Season 6. Von Sydow will play the much anticipated Three-Eyed Raven, while McShane is rumored to be taking on the role of Randyll Tarly, father of Sam.

Game of Thrones Season 6 doesn't have an official premiere date yet, though it is expected to be in early April, 2016.
