(Warning - if you're aiming to avoid any kind of plot SPOILERS for CBS' upcoming Supergirl, then you may well want to proceed with caution...)

Good news for fans of old-school DC superheroes - yet another legendary hero is heading to CBS' Supergirl...

The best part? This time, it's definitely going to be in more than just a silhouette that, if you squint hard enough, could kind of look like Henry Cavill (see above). In fact, from the sounds of Warner Bros. Television's latest reveal, it seems we could be set to see him in all of his stormin' glory. Specifically:

It Sounds Like Red Tornado Is Heading to Supergirl

Which, seeing as RT is not only a long-standing hero, but an android one, could make for a pretty intriguing plot element for the show. The even more intriguing part?

The role that's been cast is - according to ComicBook.com - technically that of "Dr. T.O. Morrow (a.k.a. Red Tornado)," which, seeing as Morrow was technically the creator of Red Tornado (and a villain), might just suggest we're set to see a very much shaken up version of the hero's origin story. Especially since the character description suggests that the two are both set to feature:

"Red Tornado is the most advanced android the world has ever seen. Designed by scientist T.O. Morrow for the U.S. Army as the ultimate superweapon, he soon becomes sentient, posing a grave danger to National City -- including the people Supergirl cares about most."

With 'Morrow (a.k.a. Red Tornado)' set to be played by Iddo Goldberg (of Peaky Blinders fame)...

...could we be set to see Red Tornado follow in Avengers: Age of Ultron's Vision's footsteps, and have his thought-patterns be based on those of his creator?

And, if so, could Goldberg end up both playing Morrow on screen, and being mo-capped into (or at least voicing) Red Tornado himself?

It certainly seems to be a possibility...

What do you think, though?
