This is huge news for anyone that is a fan of 90s Nickelodeon cartoons! Russel Hicks, President of content and development hinted that a few of our favorite shows that we grew up watching may be returning! These shows include Rugrats and Hey Arnold!
"We are looking at our library to bring back ideas, shows that were loved, in a fresh new way,”- Russell Hicks
This is huge news but is it only limited to ultra popular shows such as Rugrats or Hey Arnold? There are a couple of other shows that I would love to see brought back onto television!
I absolutely loved Doug! One of the epitomes of 90s cartoons, Doug was every middle school kids favorite show. It was a lot more teenage oriented than most cartoons at the time and depicted a lot of the problems that youth face in school. I think that Doug would do a decent job at connecting with today's youth as it really is one of the best cartoons ever!
I always thought Catdog was a little weird but for some reason I always loved it. The idea of a cat and dog who are Siamese brothers was very creepy but seeing it is absolutely hilarious. The whole Catdog universe is pretty weird but all the characters are extremely lovable. Catdog is one of those shows that I want to watch with my kids and I would love to see return to network television in the near future!
1. The Wild Thornberrys
The Wild Thornberrys is hands down one of the greatest and most hilarious cartoons of all time. The idea of The Wild Thornberrys was pretty unique and there really hasn't been a show like it sense. Every episode I remember as a kid left me in tears from laughter but the show also had some pretty epic moments. The Wild Thornberrys is one of the shows I would like to see return to television and any shows on this list for that matter would be "Smashing" to say the least.
