It looks as though the zombie apocalypse is really taking a step up in Fear the Walking Dead episode 3, "The Dog." In the latest promos and sneak peeks for episode 3, which will air on September 13th due to Labor Day Weekend, we see Los Angeles descending into chaos as core services are brought down, people panicking and general hysteria sets in.
First up, check out the tense promo, showing our two groups, each encountering their own problems:
All right, looks like things are picking up right where we left them in episode 2, with Travis, Liza and Chris holed up with the Salazar family in their barber shop while LA riots outside.
Unfortunately, it seems as though the riots may have caused a fire that threatens the group's hiding spot, prompting them to run - something we'll see in a little more in detail further down the article.
Meanwhile, back at the Clark-Manawa ranch, Nick, Alicia and Madison are trying to hold down the fort while they wait for Travis to make it home, so they can leg it to the desert. Unfortunately for them, it looks as though they're having to deal with zombie neighbors from hell, as well as a possible intruder - if the promo is to be believed. Despite Nick's addiction and withdrawal, he thankfully seems strong enough to be helping his mom and sister stay safe.
Right, now onwards to the 1 minute 38 second sneak peek into the episode, where we see Travis, Chris, Liza and the Salazar family making their way out in Travis's pickup truck:
I assume that the impending fire we saw in the episode promo above contributed to the group leaving the Salazar barbershop so quickly. While the focus of the sneak peek is definitely the crazy shoot out at the hospital, showing how slowly the pillars of society are eroding, it also looks as through Griselda Salazar has been injured, what do you think:
Hopefully Griselda's injuries aren't too severe. One thing is for sure though: It looks as though the Salazar family will be joining the Clark-Manawa-Ortiz clan in whatever they decide to do when they all finally regroup. After all, realistically they can't stay in LA for too much longer with all this going on:
Man, I bet Nick is glad he got out of hospital when he did, Could you imagine what a terrifying place that would be? Well, actually I guess we kind of can...
