In the upcoming months from Big Finish Productions, the second series focuses well on The Second Doctor era. Mixed in with full casted drama and narration, this is recreating the famous Patrick Troughton era on audio and introducing a new addition to the who family but is playing a familiar role.

The first two episodes that kick off the season are The Yes Men by Simon Gurrier and The Forsaken by Justin Richards. The latter of the two introduce new actor to Big Finish taking over from the late Michael Craze.

Elliot Chapman takes on Ben Jackson in the new full casted audio dramas alongside Frazer Hines and Anneke Wills in the opening of the series, bringing a new dynamic as mainly Frazer or Anneke would normally tag team and swap narrating as Ben. What's interesting is the second audio penned by Justin Richards is we get introduced to Ben's father and that should be an interesting tale to hear.

The next audio The Black Hole penned by Simon Guerrier has the return of Deborah Watling as Victoria Waterfield, last heard in Power Play alongside Colin Baker and Nicola Bryant from the lost stories range, interesting enough is cast member Rufus Hound looks like a time lord on the cover pre-War Games. Is he one of The Doctor's people? only time will tell.

Finally we jump over to The Isos Network written by Nicholas Briggs straight after The Invasion and have the wonderful Wendy Padbury back as Zoe Herriot for the tale and revealing that the end is far from over from the cybermen threat.

Anneke Wills fills in as the narrator for the opening two stories, Frazer Hines once again doubles up as The Doctor and Jamie McCrimmon for the run of stories and narrates the final story plus David Warner narrates the third episode which should be a joy to hear. The director of all four stories is none other then Big Finish's in house actress, director, photographer and of course Bernice Summerfield and Ellie Higson, Lisa Bowerman.
