He might have diddly-spit to do with the decision making for the next 007, but Mark Millar created the original [Kingsman: The Secret Service](tag:713143) comic books and for that his opinion is worth something. Whilst Bond fans and the bookies make their bet on either Idris Elba or Tom Hardy taking up the license to kill, the creator of the biggest surprise spy spectacular in recent years saw only one man fit for the job. His name is Fassbender. Michael Fassbender.

The man behind Wanted, Kick-Ass and Kingsman: The Secret Service shared his thoughts on current Bond author Anthony Horowitz backtracking after calling Idris Elba being ‘too street’ for Bond. Interestingly, he went against the crowd who see Hardy as their hero saying simply…

Millar quickly followed it up with the who and why for his ideal choice, and it’s one a lot would agree with.

While I’m not completely down with his view of the current state of Bond, his choice is a great one. Many saw Fassbender bring shades of the secret agent sort in X-Men: First Class (that bar scene concerning Frankenstein’s monster especially), and there’s a charm and sophistication to him that would work well for everyone’s favorite British spy. Place your bets now, folks.

What do you think, though? Is there anyone else on the list that you think would fit the bill? Do Hardy or Elba have the potential? Give a vote below.

Who do you think should be the next James Bond?
