Colin Farrell might have the sort of eyes that could melt the soul of a cinder block, but that doesn't mean he is immune to the trials and tribulations of finding a partner who he truly connects with.
The star opened up to Men's Health Magazine about how he's been single for five years, and he had a surprisingly pragmatic viewpoint for someone who has been in showbiz for so long. He explained to the interviewers that:
It’s not that I don’t get lonely sometimes, but I’m okay about it.
Along with touching on the profound topic of choosing to be alone as opposed to settling for mediocre relationships, Farrell also spoke about less poignant things such as writing a break-up letter to "the Spirit of Tobacco," like one does! He explained how he gave up smoking with the following unusual method:
I wrote a breakup letter to the Spirit of Tobacco. I got a frying pan and tossed the letter with a load of tobacco, put some paraffin over it, and lit a match that sent a big, wallowing cloud up into the sky. Then I didn’t have a cigarette for another two years.
You gotta love Colin Farrell, he might not be conventional, but he is always interesting and willing to be completely honest.
