It’s now September and we know what the means… the new TV season is upon us!

These are just a series of articles about my most anticipated shows, new and old, of the 2015/16 TV season. All opinions are my own.

Starring Jaimie Alexander, Sullivan Stapleton, Audrey Esparza, Rob Brown, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Ukweli Roach, and Ashley Johnson.

A beautiful woman, with no memories of her past, is found naked in Times Square with her body fully covered in intricate tattoos. Her discovery sets off a vast and complex mystery that immediately ignites the attention of the FBI, which begins to follow the road map on her body into a larger conspiracy of crime, while bringing her closer to discovering the truth about her identity.

Two things have attracted me to this show: Jamie Alexander and Greg Berlanti.

It wasn’t until Arrow and The Flash that I became aware of the name Greg Berlanti, doing a little IMDB stalking, I came to realize that he’s created and been apart of some, in my opinion, pretty awesome shows; Dawson’s Creek, Everwood, Brothers and Sisters and my personal favourite, Political Animals.

Jaimie Alexander first appeared on my TV screens as Jessi in Kyle XY but it wasn’t she played Lady Sif in Thor, Thor: The Dark World and two episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. that I wanted her to be on the screen more.

To learn that the two of them were joining forces and then to hear about the premise of the show, has bumped this up to my #1 anticipated show of the new season.

For the trailers it looks like a cross between Alias with the strong, kickass female character and mysteries, Prison Break with the intricate tattoos over the body that mean a whole lot more than meets the eye and Law & Order with the police drama; all brilliant shows.

I think this show could be really interesting and entertaining and I really, really hope it lasts. If worst comes to worse and it’s cancelled, I just hope there is time to get some resolution for the show and the fans.

If I have to have one doubt about the show; I really hope it doesn’t happen or at least not for a couple of seasons (much like Bones) but I really don’t want to see Jane Doe (Alexander) and Weller (Stapleton) get into a romantic relationship and all it’s drama.

Blindspot premieres on Monday, September 21st on NBC.
