Star Wars is one of the biggest and most successful film franchises of all time. It has a huge fanbase and with a galaxy full of cool vehicles, characters, weapons and aliens; you can see why Disney went full out on the merchandise. With a number of different Lego sets, new die cast and black series figure ranges, character models, new costumes, remote controlled vehicles and of course, lightsabers, there was a good selection for Star Wars fans around the world to hunt down and buy. However, my particular favourite from the new Force Awakens toys and figures is the new Funko Vinyl Pops range.
Funko has created creative, colourful collectibles for a while now and it's business is only getting bigger and bigger. With a vast range of classic Star Wars characters already, they have introduced us to the new characters with the same style bobbleheads that we have come to know and love.
The main collection features the 6 new light side and 5 dark side figures. In addition there are four new 'Wacky Wobblers', but this article will solely focus on the pop vinyls.
The six light side bobbleheads includes: Finn, Rey, Poe Dameron, Chewbacca, C-3PO and the new droid that everyone's looking for, BB-8.
The dark side bobbleheads are just as impressive, with the new characters represented being:
Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma, First Order Stormtroopers, First Order Snowtroopers and First Order Flametroopers.
The new Funkos are impressive, destined to brighten up any Star Wars fan's collection of Force Friday Merchandise. All of the bobbleheads are available for purchase online, however you may have to wait as some are only available for pre-order currently. I know I'll certainly be adding a number, if not all, of these Funko Pops to my collection, mainly because of their quirky designs and their close relation to the galaxy far, far away.
