It’s now September and we know what the means… the new TV season is upon us!

These are just a series of articles about my most anticipated shows, new and old, of the 2015/16 TV season. All opinions are my own.

Starring Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Arthur Darvill, Caity Lotz, Ciarra Renee, Franz Drameh, Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller.

When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?

I’m not a big fan of the first three seasons of Arrow but I am completely in love with The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow looks like it’s taken the seriousness of Arrow with the humor of The Flash and met in the middle.

If nothing else, they had me at Victor Garber! I loved him as Jack Bristow in Alias and now as Dr. Martin Stein in The Flash. Now it looks like he is going to be a leader-father figure type on Legends and I couldn’t be more excited but I am interested how it will happen considering it doesn’t look like the other half of Firestorm, Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell), will be joining him on the show.

I was a fan of Sara Lance/The Canary in Arrow and as much as I love the fact that she is returning, all I can think of is that it is no wonder the two other Lance’s (Quentin and Laurel) have/had drinking problems. First she is presumed dead from the same shipwreck as Oliver, she returns to her family, leaves her family, is killed and now is going to return again.

I’m excited to see what this means for Ray Palmer. I think his character in Season Three of Arrow was severely underused and just there as a distraction from the will they-won’t they of Oliver and Felicity.

HAWKGIRL AND HAWKMAN! While that should be enough of an explanation, I will elaborate and say that I am beyond excited to see these two on the small screen and to see them soaring through the skies!

That excitement just escalated now that DC has released a promo image of the two.

Hawkman and Hawkgirl.
Hawkman and Hawkgirl.

It obviously helps that the people behind the scenes (Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti) are the same ones behind Arrow and The Flash. I also look forward to some awesome crossovers and team up in future seasons of all three shows.

Legends of Tomorrow premieres on The CW in 2016.
