After it was revealed that the tidal wave of Ice Bucket Challenge videos we all saw on out Facebook feeds dramatically accelerated research into ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig's disease), it was only matter of time before somebody revived the trend in order to give the search for a cure some added oomph, and none other than Hugh Jackman was the man who stepped up to the plate.
In a brand new Ice Bucket Challenge video, Jackman leads the way for a second wave of celebrities to keep up awareness of the charity in the public eye by being the first famous face to drench himself in ice cold water in 2015. And, as if that wasn't awesome enough, he's wearing a white tux while doing it!
Although Jackman apologizes for being late in the video, he is obviously using the line for comic effect because he also took place in the challenge last year along with his Pan cast mates, as you can see below.
With his rousing cry of "bring it on!", let's hope that Jackman manages to stir the celebrity crowd into action once more, because there is no doubt the $220 million raised last year has done an enormous amount to help those suffering from the debilitating, painful and often terminal disease.
